It is absolutely essential:

To be fully aware of the length and specifics of each trial and to be in training for them.

It is equally indispensable to have a real capacity for personal autonomy in the mountains permitting one to manage the problems inherent in this type of trial in the mountains, whether physical, mental, fatigue, digestion, muscular, articular and light wounds.

The role of the organisation is not to help a runner manage his worries, and for this type of trial, safety depends on the runner being able to adapt himself or herself to the conditions and problems encountered.

Depending of the system used, the settings, satellites positions, the GPX traces can give different distances. The one we gave has been certified by the ITRA association where we are registrated.

L'ULTRA LAT/ LA ROUTE 3404 / LA VENASQUE / 40 OÔ-PYRÉNÉES :

these four races are reserved for runners trained in mountain trials, in very good physical condition and capable of running for several hours semi autonomously on tracks and more than 2000m altitude.

These trials are reserved for adults, men or women, licensed or not.  These two races are limited to runners in the category “ESPOIR"

(1998/2000) and the category “Master” 8 .  The runners registered for these trials must be aware that it is a trial in high mountains and that they must keep up a “Trial pace” in order not to be stopped at a checkpoint. You might came across snow sections.

LA KBOUR : this race is open to all runners from the category "ESPOIR" (1998/2000) to the "Master" 8

men and women licensed on not.  It is a course in semi autonomy requiring physical and technical training.

LA DIKA : this race is an initiation and discovery trial at a free pace.  It is open to all persons in the category "Cadets"

(2003/2004) up to Master 8 licensed or not. Open to walkers.

For all non licensed participants, a medical certificate less than one year old at the date of the race must be provided to the organisers.

Art.2 : SEMI AUTONOMY :

The principle of semi autonomy is a rule for all 4 races.

The rule is to be autonomous between two refreshment points, from the point of view of food and drink as well as safety (adapting to weather conditions, physical problems, wounds…)

- In this way, each runner must carry for the whole duration of the trial the totality of his/her obligatory material (see Article Obligatory Equipment). Each runner is responsible for the satisfactory condition of his/her material and must ensure the safety of themselves or another wounded competitor.  This material must under no circumstances be left in the keeping of a third party or left at a refreshment point.

- The refreshment points are arranged along the course (approximately 15km between each point) – the runner must make sure that on leaving each refreshment point he/she has the necessary quantities of water and food to last until the next refreshment point.

Each itinerary offers several refreshments :

- L'ULTRA LAT : 5 refreshments points liquids and solids + finish

- LA ROUTE 3404 : 4 refreshment points liquids and solids + finish

- LA VENASQUE : 2 refreshment points liquids and solids + finish

- 40 OÔ-PYRÉNÉES : 2 refreshment points liquids end solids + finish

- LA K-BOUR : 1 refreshment point liquid + finish

- LA DIKA : 1 refreshment point liquid + finish

- LAT CHALLENGE 2X40 : same refreshments then the Oô- PYRÉNÉES and VENASQUE

Hospice de France (X2) / plateau de la Besurta (X2) / Granges d'Astau / Superbagnères.

It is not permitted for those accompanying the runners to enter the official refreshment areas.

A dedicated zone for all personnel assisting the runners is arranged at 20m maximum from the refreshment points.

Art.3 : DOCUMENTS TO SUPPLY :

Licences for athletic competition, enterprise, running or pass running issued by the FFA and within date of validity at the date of the event, FFCO licence, FFPM or valid sports licence issued by an FFA accredited sports federation.

For those not licensed, a medical certificate must be provided (Dated less than one year) either by electronic transmission or presented the day your Bib is collected.  This certificate must include in a legible format the statement : “no contraindication to the practise of competitive athletics or running competitions”. For minors an authorization from parents is compulsory.

Without this document, the Bib cannot be given to the runner and he/she will not be allowed to participate in the competition.

Art.4 : ACCEPTANCE OF THE RULES :

Participation in the different trials of the LUCHON ANETO TRAIL requires the acceptance of the competition’s rules and ethics.
